EVOLVEA Download

Strength, cardio, nutrition. All in one place.

Evolvea is a free, ad-free app for strength training, cardio and nutrition. You log your sets, the app tracks your progress. On iPhone, Apple Watch, Android and in your browser.

On a computer, open the web version, nothing to install.

Every workout, in detail

The rest timer starts on its own as soon as you complete a set. At the end, your workout is summed up: volume, duration, muscles worked. Every exercise comes with a video tutorial and form cues to avoid common mistakes.

Your meals in one scan

Scan a barcode and Evolvea finds the product among more than 4.5 million, thanks to Open Food Facts, the world's largest open food database. No packaging? Take a photo of your plate and the AI estimates the meal for you. Calories, protein, carbs and fat are counted right away, against a target calculated for you.

Your workout on your wrist

The Apple Watch app, in beta, shows your program: exercise, set, reps and weight. Tap to complete the set and your rest starts.

For runs, leave your iPhone at home. GPS, pace, heart rate and calories show live, and everything syncs back to the app afterwards. Got a Garmin, a Samsung or a Fitbit? Your workouts still come in, through Apple Health or Health Connect.

Your miles add up

Running or cycling: GPS maps your route with distance, pace, duration and elevation. Every outing pushes your total higher, and Evolvea turns it into distances that mean something: your first half marathon, then Paris to Marseille… and maybe, one day, all the way around the world.

Evolvea cardio tracking: distance this week, this month and in total, with a cumulative distance chart

One chart per exercise

Your current weight and your progress since day one, exercise by exercise. Your 1RM is estimated from your sets, and personal records are spotted during the workout, not the next day.

Frequently asked questions

Is Evolvea really free?
Yes. No subscription, no ads, and no features locked behind a paid version. Only the AI photo scan has a limit: 2 scans per day, and referrals unlock more.
Which devices does Evolvea work on?
On iPhone and iPad from the App Store (iOS 16 or later), on Apple Watch, on Android from Google Play (Android 7 or later), and in your browser at app.evolvea.fit. Your account is the same everywhere and your data syncs across your devices.
I'm a beginner. Can Evolvea build me a program?
Yes. Answer a few questions: gym or home (with your equipment, or bodyweight only), workouts per week, length of each workout (30 to 75 minutes) and the area you want to train. Evolvea builds your training week in a minute. Every workout stays editable, and you can get a reminder one hour before.
Does Evolvea work on Apple Watch?
Yes, with an Apple Watch app (in beta). It records your runs with GPS without an iPhone, with heart rate, pace and calories, and guides you through your strength workouts: sets, reps, weights and rest on your wrist. Everything syncs with the iPhone app.
I have another watch (Garmin, Samsung, Fitbit…). Does it work?
Yes, for getting your workouts into Evolvea. There is no Evolvea app on these watches, but the workouts they record (Garmin, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Pixel Watch, Fitbit, Polar, Suunto, Coros, Withings…) show up in your history automatically, with no retyping. On iPhone they come through Apple Health; on Android, through Health Connect (Android 14 or later). One step: allow your watch's app to send its activities to Health or Health Connect, which is off by default. Evolvea only reads your workouts.

How does the meal photo scan work?
Take a photo of your plate and the AI estimates the foods, portions, calories and macros. You can correct everything before saving. The photo is sent to Google (Gemini) for analysis, without any of your account data, and it isn't stored. Barcode scanning and food search stay unlimited.
Is the food database reliable?
Evolvea uses Open Food Facts, the world's largest open food database: more than 4.5 million products. It's run by a French non-profit and works like Wikipedia: nutrition values are copied from the label, and most entries keep a photo of the packaging, so anyone can check them. Automated checks also flag inconsistent values. As with any collaborative database, an entry can contain a mistake: in the app, you can correct the values and submit the fix to Open Food Facts, for everyone. For food without packaging, Evolvea also includes 284 basic foods: meat, starches weighed raw, fruit, cheese, everyday dishes…
How is my nutrition target calculated?
Evolvea first calculates your basal metabolic rate (the calories your body burns at rest) with the Harris-Benedict formula, from your sex, age, height and weight. It then multiplies it by your activity level and adjusts it to your goal: a deficit to lose weight, a small surplus to build muscle, or maintenance. Macros follow your body weight: about 2 g of protein and 1 g of fat per kilo, the rest from carbs. You can change everything by hand.
What is the estimated 1RM?
It's the maximum weight you could lift once (one-rep max). Evolvea estimates it from your sets with the Epley formula, so you never have to test your true max, which would be risky without a spotter.
Can I add my own exercises?
Yes. Create any exercise with its name, target muscle, a video tutorial and your notes. It's saved and reusable in all your templates. Weights are shown in kg or lbs, your choice.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. You sign in with email, Google or Apple, and your workouts, nutrition, measurements and templates are saved online and available on all your devices. You can delete your account at any time from your profile: it's deactivated, then permanently erased with all your data after 30 days.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
Yes. You can log your workouts and view your data offline: Evolvea syncs everything as soon as you're back online.
